FAQs:

How do I register if I am eligible for a discount? There are three ways to qualify for a discount from the regular $1,995 program fee cost: (1) If you are faculty from a Minority Serving Institution (MSI) or a Community College (CC), you can register for either of the two semimars for the program fee price of $995 (a $1,000 CIBER stipend discount); (2) If you are a faculty from one of the several University of South Carolina campuses, you can register for either of the two seminars for the program fee price of $1,495 (a $500 CIBER stipend discount); and (3) If you are from any other institution AND are sending three or more faculty to the event, each of you can register (in the same or different concurrent seminars) for the program fee price of $1,695 (a 15% program discount) simply by entering the code FDIB15 in the "promotional code" box just above the ORDER NOW button.

What are my options for lodging? Is it included? The cost of lodging is NOT included in the registration fee, but there are many affordable hotels within easy walking distance of the event site. Special lodging rates for the program are available at the Hilton Columbia Center and the Marriott Courtyard, while reasonable rates are also avaialble at the Inn at USC (Wyndham Garden). When making lodging accomodations at either the Hilton or the Marriott, be sure to state that you are with the "FDIB Program @ the Darla Moore School of Business." Please click here for other hotel information in the downtown Columbia area.

What meals are covered during the program? A reception on Sunday evening, continental breakfast each morning (M-F), lunch each day (excluding Friday, June 7), and a graduation dinner on Thursday night. We will also have coffee, beverages and snacks each day throughout the seminars.

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event? There is a public parking garage located at 851 Park Street, and you can certainly park there if you need to (pay as you go), but most of the hotels are within a short walking distance of the seminars location.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event? It is not mandatory, but it does assist us with event check-in the first day of the program.

Can I update my registration information? Yes, at any time.

How can I contact the organizer with any questions? Mike Shealy, shealy@sc.edu or Tina Poindexter, tpoindexter@moore.sc.edu. You can also send messages to ciber@moore.sc.edu as well.
